Ohio’s US Senate Race

November 5, 2024 candidates

Democratic candidate: Incumbent Sherrod Brown.

Sherrod Brown grew up in Mansfield. One of our goals is for Wyandot County voters to contribute to re-electing Senator Brown who is a champion for Ohio’s workers, veterans and family farmers. Senator Brown is now serving his third term and serves on the Senate's Agriculture, Finance, and Veterans Committees. He is Chair of the Senate’s Agriculture Committee.

His re-election is important to keep the US Senate Blue because it impacts the life-time appointed of federal judges. He will vote against a nation-wide reproductive rights ban (including IVF treatments), will fight to save Social Security and Medicare, support border security, continue support to Ukraine, fight greed-flation and more.

Watch this video about how Senator Brown worked for 6 years to restore workers pensions or how he fought to protect US and Ohio manufacturing jobs.

Sherrod Brown 2.27.24 @SenSherrodBrown, Social Security is the bedrock of our middle class. I’ll always fight back against ANY plan that cuts Social Security — we need to strengthen this essential program that Americans earn and protect it for generations to come.”

Senator Brown on the bipartisan border security bill:

Ohioans want us to put politics aside and get something done that will take dramatic steps to secure the border and prevent fentanyl from reaching Ohio communities. They know that presidents of both parties have failed. The bipartisan deal unveiled this week [Feb 7, 2024] is the kind of action Ohioans have been demanding for years.

Statement on Senator Brown’s bill to crack down on fentanyl trafficking:

Following advocacy by U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and Ohio veterans and military families, the Department of Veterans Affairs announced that all veterans who were exposed to toxins and other hazards while serving in the military will be eligible to enroll directly in VA care due to Brown’s bipartisan (read more here:) Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson Honoring our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act of 2022 signed into law in 2022.
